Halo Moments

Have you ever had those moments when your playing halo and something extremely funny or awesome or crazy happens? Well we all do. The other day I was playing Halo Reach with a friend. We were doing Forge on Forge Island I believe. We made a huge jump that you would die when you impacted on the ground. So me and my friend were driving mongooses off that jump and exploding. The one time he exploded first and i was right next to him, my mongoose and i went flying through the air. We got launched like a rocket.

Its those moments where you try to explain to someone else but its really hard to do so because you're either laughing or you just cant explain it. Or other times when you are playing Live and have those WTF Moments. I've seen a couple of those happen in top 10 WTF Moments and some of them you are just like, "What the crap?"

Here is a video below showing you some of the things that happen in halo that people just really cant explain.

Sorry i havent been posting for the past few weeks. I just couldnt find anything to blog about but now ill try to get back into the groove and find some more things for you readers. Have fun gaming!!!
Also ill be seeing some of you at the LAN this Friday. Time to have fun and laugh our asses off.
HALO FTW!!!!!

Ghost Recon Updated?!

Alright so today I updated Ghost Recon (finally.) and logged on. Some of the new updates consisted of a new map and new Phantom pack. I have yet to find out what the phantom pack is but I have seen it in action. The new map is a large map with 5 points you need to capture in order to win or have the most when time runs out. I got to actually play the new map and it was a pretty good map. It takes place in a city with many buildings and a couple of cars parked. Also you have different ways to flank around the enemy.

They also updated the graphics to be cooler looking. I have yet to try to put it on a higher setting but tomorrow I will try for the highest graphics and see how they look. Ghost Recon is still in its beta version but that is because they need to make more patches and find better ways to make the game better for the people playing it. They still only have three classes to play as and nothing has changed there.

I will be posting Ghost Recon updates on here as well as halo updates. Thanks for reading and Game on!

Halo 4 Global Championship

I've recently read that halo is yet holding another huge tournament this summer of 2013. Heres is what they have said from halowaypoint.com about qualifying and more.

The first qualifier for the Halo 4 Global Championship will be a weekend-long FFA tournament in our booth. If you’d like to participate, we recommend registering in advance to secure your spot. To pre-register, at 9 AM CDT on Friday, July 5, go to Hall 5 (the same location as RTX attendee registration). Limited walk-up registration will be available at our booth during show floor hours as well. Oh, and if you compete in the tournament, you’ll snag yourself a limited-edition t-shirt. We’ll be live streaming the tournament finals from the eSports main stage from 2-5 PM CDT on Sunday on our official Twitch.tv channel, where I’ll be joined by Eric “GH057ayame” Hewitt and Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez for commentary and insight into the gameplay. Be sure to tune in!

There will also be an online qualification. Heres how you can qualify.

You can compete and qualify for the finals through online play. Just hop into the Global Championship playlist and play 20 games each week to qualify and appear on the leaderboards.

Stay tuned for additional opportunities to get an invitation to the Halo 4 Global Championship finals in the coming weeks.

This tournament has been designed so that it provides an optimal competition experience for all competitors. The format is significantly different from the Infinity Challenge tournament, and we’ve used our past learnings to ensure that all players have the chance to qualify and win prizes, and that the best-performing players move on each week. Let’s dig into the format of the online portion.

Each week, a new selection of maps and game types will be available in the Global Championship playlist. Unlike the Infinity Challenge, each week of the tournament is independent of any other week, with new game types, winners, prizes and a fresh, blank leaderboard. This way, players can compete in their selected weeks without needing to “grind.” Each week, play a minimum of 20 games in the tournament playlist. Your placement in these matches will determine your place on the leaderboard. Read on for how placement works.

Using an inverted scoring system, you’ll be given points based on your placement in each game that you play in the playlist. For example, if you place first in your match, you’ll receive a score of 8 for that game. Should you place second in the next match, you’d receive a score of 7, and your average across these two games would be 7.5.

As a lot of you who read this like to play halo 4, here is something that you could possibly get into if you have nothing to do this summer or if you want to do something sick this summer. I would join this, but i have work and quite frankly, dont have an xbox 360 to play on. I know some of you from the LAN were good and it would be cool to see some of you end up in the leaderboards in the championship itself.

Good luck and until next time, keep pwning those Spartans!
